On July 11-12, 2024, MedDRA MSSO successfully held the fourth offline face-to-face training of 2024 at the Shenyang office of SDM. As the organizer of this event, SM gathered together with more than 40 experts from various fields such as CRO, pharmaceutical companies and partners, including medical coders, data management and statistics, drug safety/pharmacovigilance, medical writers and other modules. This training course is full of dry goods, providing everyone with a knowledge feast, but also provide a good opportunity for peers to exchange and learn.
In order to promote the standardized use of MedDRA, MSSO provides free in-person training to users several times a year. Each training received a warm response once it was released. Face-to-face training shared international standards docking and best practice paths through thematic lectures, group discussions, case sharing and other forms. In this two-day training, the first day of the course is focused on understanding the structure and scope of MedDRA and using MedDRA to encode medical information correctly and efficiently. From the background and structure of MedDRA to coding rules and quality control, Joy's clear explanation and on-site practical exercises allow students to quickly master the basic knowledge. The second day of the course mainly explained security data analysis and SMQ, and carried out the practical application of SMQ in the form of group exercises. Ms. Joy's diversified teaching style enables students to have a more comprehensive understanding and grasp of the SMQ system, and also enhances the interaction and communication between teachers and students.
The face-to-face training came to a perfect end. Although the two days were short, the harvest was full. On the road to clinical trials will never end to learn, look forward to seeing you again!
